It’s creeping towards that time of year again. The leaves are falling, the weather is getting colder and those mince pies are calling. In what has become a yearly tradition, my friend Leah and I made plans to partake of some yuletide joy at one of my favourite markets. The Manchester Christmas markets run from the 8th November to the 22nd December for 2019, here’s what you can expect from this year’s festivities.Continue reading “Manchester Christmas Markets 2019”
Heading off to Birmingham this weekend, a friend and I decided to check out a sight I had been meaning to visit for quite some time. Right in the centre of Birmingham is a trip back in time, full of tin baths and old-fashioned sweets. A sunny Easter holiday saw us making the drive across to Leicester to visit somewhere i have had my sights set on for a while. Boasting space suits, astronaut training (ish) and a glorious domed screen, the space centre is a trip around the moon and more.
With a week of annual leave falling in the UK Easter holidays this year, an unorganised me had yet again left firm travel plans to the very last minute. With a hopeful week of sun heading England’s way, where better to explore than the land of cream teas and pirates?
