Manchester Christmas Markets 2019

It’s creeping towards that time of year again. The leaves are falling, the weather is getting colder and those mince pies are calling. In what has become a yearly tradition, my friend Leah and I made plans to partake of some yuletide joy at one of my favourite markets. The Manchester Christmas markets run from the 8th November to the 22nd December for 2019, here’s what you can expect from this year’s festivities.

Birmingham Back to Backs

Heading off to Birmingham this weekend, a friend and I decided to check out a sight I had been meaning to visit for quite some time. Right in the centre of Birmingham is a trip back in time, full of tin baths and old-fashioned sweets. Book in on the tour and you’ll find out everything from what a ‘gazunda’ is to exactly how many people you can really fit in a ‘two bedroom’ house.

Greece Trip Planning – We’re off to Zakynthos!

Getting older has that weird knock on effect of spending less family time together. Whilst my siblings and I have all gone off in search of our own adventures, we realised that we haven’t had a ‘family’ holiday in YEARS! Having ticked off our fair share of countries visited between us, we were after a week-long sunny escape for four that wasn’t going to break the bank. Particularly for the student traveller in our group. Enter, Greece.

Shakespaw Cat Cafe – The Midland’s First Cat Cafe

Caribbean Island Hopping

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to visit not one, but two beautiful Caribbean islands for a whistle-stop tour of these fascinating spots. From hair-raising internal flights to jaw-dropping views as we scaled St.Lucia’s lush heights in a rickety minivan, here’s what I got up to during the trip and what I loved most about these beautiful countries.

Zip-lining in Saint lucia

The beautiful Saint Lucia is jam-packed full of incredible sights and unusual excursions, not to mention jaw-dropping beaches! Given the opportunity to voyage into the nation’s jungled interiors during our short visit, we set our hearts on something that would certainly get our hearts racing after the pampering of the resorts.

Exploring the Beautiful St. Lucia

Taking in the island of Saint Lucia as part of a Caribbean multi-stop trip, I was blown away by the incredible lush greens of the hilly landscape and the mesmerising waters they dipped in to. Basing myself in the north of the island, the views were spectacular and the perfect white sand beaches heaven.
